Deleting a time entry takes its hours out of every total straight away. Only a draft entry can be deleted.

When to delete

  • You started a timer by mistake and let it run.
  • You logged the same work twice.
  • The entry belongs to another person or another workspace.
If the hours are right but the project is wrong, edit the entry instead. See Edit a time entry.

Which entries can be deleted

An entry that has been submitted is part of the approval trail. It is not “deletable but recoverable” – it is not deletable. Settled time is corrected with an adjustment instead.

Delete from the entry list

1

Open Time

Click Time in the sidebar and go to the period.
2

Find the row

Entries are grouped by day in List view.
3

Open the row menu

Click the three dots at the end of the row.
4

Choose Delete

The confirmation asks Delete this time entry? with “This action cannot be undone. The tracked time will be permanently removed.”
5

Confirm

Click Delete. You get the toast “Time entry deleted.”

Delete from the edit form

Open an entry with Edit. A red Delete button sits at the bottom left. The confirmation names the entry, for example:
Delete this time entry? This entry (2h 15m on 14 Jul 2026) will be permanently deleted. This can’t be undone.
Click Delete entry to confirm. You get “Entry deleted.”

Delete from the week grid

In Grouped view, click a day cell to open that day. Each entry row has a delete button. It asks Delete this time entry? and confirms with Delete entry. Setting a day cell’s duration to 0 also removes that day’s entry.

What happens next

Deleted time leaves every total immediately. It stops counting toward the day total, the period total, the project budget, reports and anything invoiceable. An entry you deleted can never appear on an invoice.
Other effects:
  • The project’s tracked hours drop by that entry’s duration.
  • The capacity comes back against any daily limit, so you can log the rest of the day.
  • The delete is recorded in the workspace audit trail.
  • The entry no longer causes an overlap warning, so you can re-log the same span cleanly.

Example

Jonas Bergman left a timer running over lunch on Mobile App for Harbor Logistics and ended up with a 4-hour entry he never worked.
  1. He opens Time, finds today’s card, and clicks the three dots on the row.
  2. He clicks Delete, then Delete again in the confirmation.
  3. The 4 hours leave the project’s 600-hour budget.
  4. He adds a correct 1-hour entry in its place.

Permissions

Owner, Admin, Project Manager, Member and Contractor can delete their own drafts. Only Owner, Admin and Project Manager can delete another person’s, and only for people inside their supervision scope. The Time tracking app must be on.

Common questions

Treat a delete as permanent. The entry stops counting everywhere the moment you confirm, and there is no restore control on the time screens. If you deleted the wrong one, add it again with the same details.
Either the entry is no longer a draft, or the whole period is submitted, approved or locked. The row actions grey out together in that case.
There is no bulk delete for time entries. Delete them row by row, or open the day in Grouped view and remove each one there.
Then it is invoiced and cannot be deleted. Void or edit the invoice first – see Void an invoice.
